Circle Colored Collage

This has got to be one of my favorite techniques from the newest Technique Junkie Newsletter.  It is called Circle colored Collage.  Easy, fast with great end results!  You can't see it in the photo but there is Diamond Glaze on the pearls.

Lacquered Pansy

Lacquered Frames is a Technique Junkie technique from the most recent newsletter.  The outer frame is lacquered for a shiny finish (although that doesn't show up on the photo).  The Pansy stamp and sentiment are from Marks Finest Papers.  Enjoy!

Dotty Car

Here is another stamp from the Prickly Pear Company.  I love this Ranchero.......I'm a Ford gal you see!   This card uses the same technique as that cute little girl I posted a couple days ago.....it is called Dotty Edges.  Colored with copics.

Lacquered Daisies

Lacquered Frames is another technique from the newest Technique Junkie newsletter.   It is an easy technique but waiting for the laquer to dry is hard for me!  ;-)  Too impatient!  That cute daisy and Hello are from Mark's Finest Papers Stamp Company.  The stamp is actually part of a larger stamp.  I doubled the image and cut it out.

Mixed Matched Backgrounds

Mixed Matched Backgrounds is one of the tecniques in the most recent Technique Junkie newsletter.  I found that it worked best with nesties that weren't too intricate.  There are three different Background stamps there.  The first one is mostly hidden by the words.  Hero Arts, stampin Up and an Unknown for the BG layers.  The beautiful swirl on the corners is from Prickly Pear Stamps.  They have some great stamps!

Creating feels so good!

I decided that since it was somewhat rainy outside that it was a good day to play!  Here is one of the cards that I made for the Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.  This is a stamp that I got at the stamp convention last March.  Shamful that it hadn't seen ink yet.  It is from Local King.  I also got the die that goes with it.  Guess I'll have to do the waxed paper thing with the die as it wouldn't release very well.  I colored the stamp with copic markers then spritzed with copic's blending solution and stamped on glossy.  Cut it out with the matching die and mounted on the ovals.  I used the Cuttlebug Highlights, Out of the Box and Curled corners techniques from the Technique Junkie newsletter.  Well.......it is sort of Curled corners....really a curled end instead!  I got the paper at M's in the sale bin.  I love it's bright cheery colors.  Hope you enjoy!

Cute little Sailor Girl

I made this card for my upcoming Copic class in Springfield.  The cute little sailor girl is a stamp from Peddler's Pack.  They are a local company for me!  So cute!  She comes in two sizes too.  This is the larger of the two.  The background was made spraying copic on white and then spattering with a slightly darker color.  I tried to color the water to look more transparent......I think I need a little more practice with that!  The Dotty Edges is a Technique Junkie technique from the new newsletter.  Hope you enjoy!

Card and a Whine

Sometimes you can't win for trying!!  My mailman hasn't delivered the mail before 2 - 3 pm for months.  So today, when I really needed a package to go out, I get it ready and walk the 1/4 mile to my mailbox........   Wouldn't you know that TODAY is the day he picks to be early.  DRAT!  Well, at least I got a 1/2 mile of exercise!!

Here is one of the cards that I was mailing off to Karen and Friends Creations in Springfield.  I am teaching a copic class there on June 30th.  The bee card that I posted a couple of days ago is one that is one the display boards.  This is a second one from the display boards.  Lovely Lydia is a Peddler's Pack stamp.  I wasn't too thrilled with her at the beginning but after coloring her, I think she is quite Lovely indeed!  I originally colored her in blues.........my favorite but it just seemed too........blue.  So I switched from blue/pink to green/red and I'm so much more happy with the result.  The doily die behind Lydia is from Cheery Lynn.  Behind that is a cuttlebug folder.   I thought that cutting her out would let background items show better but cutting around the bottom of the image where it faded away seemed wrong so I tore the cardstock there instead.  I like the outcome!

word verification

Sorry to have to do it but I turned word verification back on for comments.  The spam was just getting too time consuming to take care of.

Sanded Bee

I have an upcoming Copic class in Springfield Oregon and created a few cards for their display board for the class.  The bee is an image from Peddler's Pack and is so cute.  You can't see it very well but I added texture to the bee's body to look fuzzy.  I also added all kinds of subtle color to the wings which my scanner conveniently forgot.  The wings were outlined with Diamond Glaze for some added dimension.  The background is a Technique Junkie technique called Sanded Coordinations.  I also had just a tiny bit of 'out of the box' with the nesties with the flower stem. Hope you enjoy!!

We have a new baby

Well........it is more like a new Pony in the stable.  The last six months has been trying.....  In October my husband's daily driver ('94 Mustang GT) was totaled as a result of a drunk driver.  We replaced it in December with a 2008 Shelby GT Convertible.  Ray got to really liking that car!  Well, In April, a drunk driver hit him and totaled that car.  Sheesh!  So.........after a 6 week search we found our replacement.  A beautiful Kona Blue 2010 Shelby GT500.  This is a beautiful picture that the previous owner shared with it!

Card post coming later today.
