Here is a picture of the card that was published in SS Catch Up issue. I really think that this photo is better than the one in the magazine because you can see some of the shimmer on the cardstock. Paper Temptress has some of the coolest cardstock.....this is a real small sampling! Click on her link to the right and take a peek at her wonderful stock.

I've been published!
After such a 'down' day because of the wrecked car, today in the mail I received a complimentary copy of Stamper Sampler Catch Up issue. That meant only one thing......I had been published! Woo Hoo! I'm on page 91. You can get your own copy at news stands on May 1st. It is really filled with some great artwork! Lots of names I know that I noticed in there as well! I looked everywhere for my photo of the card....couldn't find....maybe tomorrow!

Sad Day.......
Last night wasn't good for us. My Husband was coming home from running an errand after work and a drunk driver (going too fast on the freeway) ran into him and we're pretty sure our beautiful new Shelby is totaled. ;-( God was watching over Ray......the car is toast but he is okay! The 'before' picture was when we got the new spoiler painted and installed.

Cut Borders
Welcome to a beautiful Saturday. As a Technique Junkie designer, we always see the tutorials several months in advance. We are assigned several techniques as well as several we pick of our own. I didn't get to work on this technique yet called Cut Borders. So easy and really fun!
I love how this card came out. The stamp set (shells) is by Stampin Up. The words are computer generated. The blue paper to the side is from Paper Temptress and boy oh boy........it is absolutely wonderful. Just a hint of sparkle and perfect for making you think of sparkling sand!

A card!
I needed a baby card today for a shower. I saw this type of card on Taylored Expressions (I think) and thought it was really cute but I had no onesie stamp. So, I found a Onesie clipart and made do. It was fun matching the printer ink to the paper I had. Easy too!
It may look like I've not been busy but I have. I've been filming a number of techniques for the Technique Junkie newsletter and can't share those cards until the technique is published!
Hoping to really get back into the stamping though. I need to get a lot done for my sale in the fall!

Not like Christies!
I hope that you enjoy the video below. I created this to show you my Stamp Hole after viewing the tremendously awesome room shared by www.creationsbychristie.blogspot.com. Her room had granite counter tops and fancy cupboards. Well.......I don't have that but I do love what I have~

Embossed Paper Resist
Here is one of the techniques from the most recent TJ CD called Stampin Companion. It is called Embossed Paper Resist. Mine should have resisted a little more than it did but I like it anyways. It almost gave it a faux sanded coordinations paper look! I made this card for a lady at church who wanted two anniversary cards. One humorous (this one) and one pretty (second card). The inside of this card says, "Well........that's a good start!" The image is from Mo Manning.
This is the second card that I made for the lady at church. It uses Cuttlebug highlights. It is kind of hard to tell but the heart is outlined with gold leaf pen. It was embossed as well with the swiss dot folder. Simple and sweet. The image is from Fred She Said.

really....almost a month?
Time has been flying and I can't believe it has been almost a month since I've posted. Some cards are coming soon...I promise. Need to photo the two I made recently. I've been busy photographing tutorials and making the samples which you can't see until another day!
Today I found out that I won a gift certificate to Jetpens.com! Woo Hoo! $25!! Thanks to http://www.kwernerdesign.com/blog/. You might want to follow her blog because it is quite awesome. She has some of the most beautiful handwriting in the world, if you ask me.

MFT Challenge card
I thought it was time to join in a few challenges and get the creative juices flowing. Here is a card for the My Favorite Things sketch challenge. I only own one set from MFT .......a barnyard set that is probably retired by now! LOL I hope you enjoy this valentine. The decorated paper was a little bright for the card so I toned it down by stamping the heart all over it. I used a curled corner and cuttlebug highlights techniques (from the Technique Junkie newsletter of course!)

Whole lotta love word cards
Splitcoaststampers posted a tutorial for a LOVE word card. I loved it so much that I thought i would make a number of them for my hubby to take to work. I also didn't want to cut each by hand so I made a cut file for the pieces. They aren't exactly like the original on the tutorial but that's okay! Each one is different. I have two I didn't get to.......they are traditional red/white format. Hope you enjoy. Unfortunately the purple one with the butterfly just would not photo well....IRL the colors are deep and right on the card and the butterfly.
more zen
Here is a little more Zen stamping for you to see! This darling image is from Our Craft Lounge. I think they are retiring it or it is just retired. I colored everything with copics and used my multiliner for the zentangle part. This is just one of the fun techniques in the current TJ newsletter.
