I have a lady that wanted me to make some cards for Easter for her parents, nephew and niece. So I printed up some digital images for the kids cards, colored them with copics and created! I usually make two for each so the lady has a choice. Whatever she doesn't pick can be used for my grandkids!
I was very pleased with the card I made for her parents. It used one of my new stamps from Heartfelt Creations. They had the most awesome booth at the rubber stamp convention a couple of weeks ago. It is a little hard to tell but the paper (from Paper Temptress) is a lovely pearlescent paper.
The Rabbit in the Egg is a free digital I got from Prairie Fairy. The Bunny with the daffodil pot was a free digital from Creative Pointe. On both of those cards I used a round Easter design that was a digital freebie from Sans Design. The bunny with the basket is from Dustin Pike. And Finally the Bunny Penguin is from Hambo Stamps. This was a free image from their Hambo Hoedown challenge. We were to make an easel card this week for the challenge but I had to make the card before I knew the challenge. That's okay.......it made a darling boy Easter card and I just make another for the challenge.
So......tell me which one of the Easter cards that you like the best!

Easter Goodies
Here are the Easter goodies I made for my grandchildren. The little nuggets with the Easter bunny faces were an idea I originally got from my friend, Judy. The bunny face was an idea originally from my friend, Cindy! Thanks guys for the inspiration. I put Cindy's bunny face on a box I made with Cardstock and voila! A cute (really inexpensive) Easter Basket! I hope you enjoy them and it inspires you to create some yourself........for next year!!
Below is the card that I made for my granddaughters. I posted the same image several weeks back. THAT card was for my grandson. I already had the image colored up so quickly made it into a card. It has two techniques on it.....marker tapping and out of the box. There were techniques from the Technique Junkie newsletter. Marker Tapping was a technique I had submitted. ;-) The image is from Dustin Pike and is colored with copic markers.
Car wreck update: My DH is not complaining....don't know if that means he is trying to be a guy or really isn't bothered. Me, on the otherhand........My neck, hip, and a little on one hand and knee are bothering me. Seeing the chiropractor and getting adjusted along with massages. I love masssages but wouldn't recommend this method of getting them! Car.....$5,500 in damages and we are hoping that they won't total it. Here are a couple of photos. One shows the other guys car with its smashed hood. The Explorer is ours and this picture from home shows the damage a little better. You still can't see how much it is dented in or the angle of the wheel. Makes my neck hurt just looking at them. You can see how far he slide after hitting us.....we're the car with the hatched raised. The guy that hit us was traveling towards us originally.

Little Jim's Easter Card

This card is very similar to the Easter card I did for my granddaughter. This one is for my grandson, Jimmy. The bunny digi stamp is from Mel as noted in the post where the other card is. It also works as the sketch challenge on Splitcoaststampers for this week (SC223). Colored with copics and using an Easter napkin for the colorful background.

Easter's coming!

Well, it has been an exciting week. I found out that I play for Maundy Thursday service only on Tuesday!! Augh!! Four hymns and a praise song. Only one of the songs is really giving me a fit so it should go pretty well. I'll also be playing with Gary Hurst on Good Friday. Me on Piano and Gary on Violin. I practiced a LOT today so I took a break when the grandson, Zander, was sleeping and played in the Stamp Hole. Here is the card that I made for my granddaughter, Audrey. This cute little parachuting bunny is a digital stamp from Mel McCarthy (SCS Stampztoomuch). She shared them on her blog last week. There are two more as well. I'll use one of the other one's for Little Jim's Easter card. It was colored with copic markers. The patterned 'paper' behind the bunny is a beautiful Easter egg napkin that I got from the donut table at the Rhododendron Show on Saturday. I ran a piece of cardstock through my Xyron and adhered the napkin. The paper right immediately behind the bunny looks like clouds......isn't that a fun paper?!
On another note......I sent in my application yesterday to attend the copic certification class in Portland on my Birthday, May 20th. I found out today that I was accepted!! Hooray!! I can't wait to learn more about coloring with these wonderful markers.

Easter cards

I spent time yesterday making the Easter cards that I wanted to give to parents. The cross is a die from Sizzix. I really love it's design. I adhered cardstock to a blank coaster for the cross. It was a little dull so I added the glitter. The right hand border design was made using some of the new flat fold border puncher. I think they are made by EK Success. The left corners scrolls are a Cuttlebug die that is a bummer to glue. I love those corners but not the gluing! The flowers are from a free bag of miscellaneous Primas that I got at a shoe box card swap in WA a couple of years ago. The background paper is some that I've been hoarding in my stash. I thought it would look happy and springy for the card. I had forgotten that I had the Easter stamp!! While I was getting the cards done, Ray got the oil changed in two of our cars. At least it wasn't raining outside when he was doing it (which seems to be the norm). It got to about 74 degrees here yesterday and today should hit about 78!!!! After dinner we had planned to play pinochle with some friends. We hopped into the car and drove to their house.....hmmm.....no one home. I called my friend on my cell......."Where are You?" I asked. "We're sitting in your driveway wondering where you are!" So funny. I guess we really didn't say one way or the other about whose house we would play at! It was a good laugh!

Breauna's Easter Card

I just had to show the card I made today for the Featured Stamper challenge on SCS. It will be the Easter card for my granddaughter and I was so pleased how it came out. I'm learning how to color with my copic markers and although I have a long way to go to be great, I'm quite pleased with it! I put some red cardstock behind the scan because the white card base didn't show up. Now that I see it like this, I think I like it so will probably add the red cardbase for real! That little bunny is clipart that I found. It is just adorable, don't you think? The corner punch is from EK Success.
Tomorrow I'm hoping to go to the Portland Saturday market and get some of the trophies for the Rhododendron Society shows. The first show is coming up in a week and I still need three trophies for it. Saturday market has great artists so I should be able to find some perfect items.
